subwoofer box materials

Hey, I was wondering on what kind of materials would you suggest on using for construction.
I am going to make my box myself and want to know what I need to make it sound really good.
thanks

The most popular is 3/4" MDF. It's strong, not very flexible, and easy to work with. Unfortunately, it's also very heavy.

3/4" MDF is the most common for simpler boxes. Most custom boxes are made of fiberglass. However, the big name (q-logic, JL, mtx) custom-fit boxes are usually made of plastic. not good. best choice is to stick with the mdf
