momo is way overpriced, so scratch that one. the alpine is similar to the perfect SQ wise, but has more boom if needed. it can also be found cheaper than the perfect. so go with the type-r. i've got one, and you wont be disappointed

I had an R10, my cousin recently had four Perfect Kappa 10's in his integra before being stolen a few weeks ago, although his was louder due to having 4 I liked the sound of the R10 far better......
hey yea i thought the momo's were over priced also, but on ebay, they run bout the same as the type r's,little more, the only reason i through that one in,cuz my friend has a xtreme s-10,and had 1 10 momo, with a pg amp pushing it,omg, thats all i can say,his one sub kept up with my 2 10 perfect's,until he blew it apart pushing to much power, lol,he could make things in the house rattle.....but ive never heard the type r's....
My choice is the Alpines Type R.
I love all their equipment. One of the clerks at the stereo shop here as the MRV-1507 with 2 12 inch R-type 4 ohm DVC's. At a soundoff he supposedly hit 151db with it, but i wasnt there to verify it. Although i heard that from someone ELSE who was there to watch, not one of the sales people.
Aside from that, i like them for sound quality, ive heard them and i *personally* think they sound nice. But opinions are just that, others may disagree.

Well i've listened to the Perfect 12s and Alpine 12" Type-R DVCs. From what i can tell the Perfects seem to flow with the music better and don't give off as much bump as they do nice clean down low fill.....The Type-Rs seem to do the same with a little more emphasis on the bump and almost seems to outpower the rest of the music. Both great subs. I just like my down low a little lower so i personally use a 15" HE2
but if i ever wanted 12's i would go with either one of these. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. As for Polk i've never seen em or heard em except for home audio and thats a different sound all together!

I would say go for the type r's. i got two twelves and if you want low bass and loud go for them.
Just be sure to give them a good supply of power. i used to have a 300 watt amp pushing them because it was from my old 10" pioneers and they sounded great but i just installed the 750 watt mrv-t757 and holly ****!!! i can't believe the difference.
