k9 car alarm.. help! :(
i just installed a k9 classic alarm the othr day, and all was working fine until today i go to arm the system and the alarm sounds, only about half volume tho. the only way i found to shut it up was to turn the ignition on but soon as i try to rearm it, it goes off again, so i decide to pull the fuse so it doesnt drain my battery while im at work, come out and soon as i turn the ignition on, it goes off again, not quite as loud as before but nonetheless.. try completely unplugging the harness for awhile, and regardless of ignition position it goes off again soon as i plug it in.. even with the fuse out.. fuse is in the constant on wire..
any ideas?

Scoob,
Double check your wiring using a VOM, test lights have no place in an alarm installation. The reason for this is that a VOM will let you know that you have 12 volts for sure. Anyway, constant 12 volts is self explainatory. The ignition wire should show 12 volts with the key in the run position, and while the starter is cranking. The starter wire should show 12 volts when the key is in the start position. Verify every other output, such as parking lights, siren, and door locks. Since the door lock output on almost all alarms is negative, wire a 15amp fuse inline with the output to the relays, and touch it to ground to see if they are wired correctly. If all is well with the wiring, then the alarm brain is probably toast. Good luck

Yeah I double checked the wireing last nite, all is well, besides it was working for a few days, then poof, all the sudden..
Yeah, that is a bummer. Hopefully the alarm is still under warranty, and you can get a new brain. If not, there is one good thing...at least you have all the wiring done for a new alarm cause its all the same.
