problem with speakers
problem with speakers
i am getting a buzzing and popping noise out of my right front speaker.i have changed the speaker out with a new one.still getting buzzing noise when turned up very bad distoration, when turned down very bad buzzing.i can only listen to right rear setting.this is an all stock radio system the delco bose 11 cd player in a 94 camaro help please
1) if you have the bose system and replaced the speaker, what speaker did you use cause they have amp built into them on the speaker. After market speakers cant be plopped into their spot.
2) if its still popping after you swapped speakers, then its wiring or the headunit. Try smaking the side of the console where the radio is and see if anything happens.
If not than its probably a channel going bad in the Headunit. (Stock wiring tends not to go bad unless you drill it or something).

RE.speakers
sorry was a little vague.it is the right front speaker.i replaced it with a set of kappa 61/2 the speakers sound the same with the buzzing noise.thinking bout just replacing head unit with aftermarket.the din and a 1/2 are pretty expansive and limited on options.i am probllay just gonna put a top end clarion cd player in it.have had real good luck with clarion in past.just wondering how the looks are gonna be with a smaller radio in it.if it looks real bad might just splurge and get a radio/dvd/player for it.
anyways thanks for the help
anyways thanks for the help
my opinion
i dont like the way the single din unit looks in my car, however i didnt put it there either. very cheap awia unit with mounting kit that makes it stick out a bit. i will be adressing that in a few months. i like the alpine 1.5 din but high price and all considered
i will try the pioneere PEH-77DH check it out at thecameraclub.com its 209 plus 9 bucks shipping new not a refurbished unit and many features cheapest place i found for it.
on the problems you are having are you sure you didnt cross the + and - wires on that speaker.
im sure u didnt but just a thought.
