My amp heats up

after like 10mins or so of playing my subs, (****ty ones i ahve here) my amp gets pretty warm, it's a MTX 2300, is there anyway to fix this, or is it not too bad as long as it doesn't start burning up??

Hmm. An amp that heats up.

I not sure if you know this or not, but an AMP is a big Heatsink.
Do you know what heatsinks do? They are designed to dissapate heat. Which is what most amps are designed to do.

As long as it does not trun itself off, you are fine.

Don't worry about it, all amps get hot. I'm not too sure about your model, but most of the newer models have some type of safty circut that shuts the unit down if it is getting tooooo hot.

yerp, all the little electronic devices inside stir up quite a bit of head, and those big metal fins on top allow it to escape easily.

Sorry for the late post, but I could probably cook eggs and hashbrowns on my pair of Soundstream Reference Class A 3.0's even at moderate volumes! Seriously though, unless your amp is cycling into thermal protection mode, you are fine.

you might also want to think of wher it is located and if it gets air. If you have it in the bak in the glas the sun just beats in on it and tints might help it out.
just a thought...
