runs fine in winter

ok i got a 2.8l v6 with what i think is the original 2barrel carburator. in winter or cool weather it startys and runs fine. when it get warm or humid the engine shuts off at part throttel if i let up it is fine and somtimes during acceleration it surges or is real sluggish for a second or two. it even feels as if it's got some type of a weird delay.

Why this would happen seasonally I don't know. It would seem that it would run worse in the winter. It sounds like you have a lean condition because you step on the gas and it shuts down or boggs because its getting too much air and not enough fuel. I would think it worse in the winter with denser air. Other than a low fuel condition, I would say do a general check up, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, check to see if the carb needs rebuilding... Hope this helps a little...
