Attn Jester, others who have done TBI-carb swap. Dist. ??'s
ok, I bought the summit distributor with the in-cap coil and am not sure how to hook it up. There appears to be a black, red, and brown wire running from the inside of the distributor to a terminal on the in cap coil. Next to that terminal, it looks like there is a two prong socket for something to plug into. What goes there? How do I hook up my tach? The distributor came with no instructions. Should I just call summit?
thanks
thanks
The two terminals should be marked TACH and BATT. The tach terminal goes to the tach, the battery terminal goes to the 12v ignition lead. Both of those are on the stock remote coil, just run them to the new coil instead. I can't remember the colors off the top of my head, but that shouldn't be hard to figure out.

thanks for the help. I realized that I forgot to order the pigtail from summit that goes from the dist. to the ignition/tach leads. D'OH! Those of you switching from EFI to carb will need this part.
