What throttle cable works best with a TPI to carb switch?

I switched over about 6 months ago and I have found that my throttle blades aren't opening all the way. I am still using the TPI cable but, I had to put spacers behind the gas pedal so they would open up all the way. I tried a 91 TBI cable but it wouldn't work either. What cable can I get, for it to work properly?

Any '82-'87 V8 carb cable should work.

What should I ask them to look up at the parts store? They will want more info. I tried and they acted like there was no such thing

go to the junkyard and take one off a original carb third gen, i got one for 2 bucks, look for the one car that someone dug into under the dash, i found one with the steering column gone so all i had to do was reach in with my hand and snap the cable out without removing any other stuff

"Parts store"? I hope you don't mean Pep Boys.

At best, this would be a dealer item. Tell them you need a throttle cable for an '87 305 V8 LG4, VIN "H".

A "used parts" store (okay, junkyard) would probably be a better place, as said above.
