Carb vs TBI

Hey all,

My current carb is giving me some trouble, i have an 1985 LG4 Trans Am.

I was just wondering about your oppinions on Carb vs a TBI.

Should i get another carb? or go with a TBI? Will a performance one of both get rid of some emissions?

Any other suggesions, info, and tips would be great appreciated as well.

Thanks,

-Curt

You will gain more torque with the swap and emissions will be lower too. The only real downside is the amount of $$ involved in converting it. There's many parts involved in the swap.

Ideally you should just try and work out the related problems with the carb.

Yes, rebuild the QJet and then modify it exactly according to the instructions in the Tech Articles. This will definitely give you performance you didn't know was there!
