What size carb should I use?
I have a sbc 355 dart 200cc runner 72cc combustion chamber. Comp Cam Magnum 276 cam, edelbrock performer intake, full length duels with H pipe. TH350 trans stock converter for now with 3.55:1 gears in a 79 vette. What size carb would be good? I have my eye on a Holley 750 on ebay, would that be too big?

750 Holleys are nice, I have one my self. Just learn how to tune it!! With the set up you have yes, you should be fine. You still might run a little rich though.

my setup is basically the same minus heads....i have a 750 double pumper and it uns richer than Bill Gates....ive jetted it and all and its still rich...
Im going with a 625 Edelbrock, (neighbor works for Edelbrock!)
He said ill gain hp from the swap...i was like score...he said that the 750 is still much carb for a 350...
CFM= cubes (355) X max engine RPM X .9(Volumetric Eficiency (90% for performer intake) / 3456
VE for the performer is 75-90%
IF VE is less than 100% the amount and quality of charge in the cylinder is reduced so less torque is produced. VE is above 100% is a supercharging effect and more torque is produced.
Get this?....i took it STRAIGHT out of a Edelbrock 2002 catalog...just plug in the max RPM and that will tell you the CFM needed....
