Proven methods of hp w/zz4 shortblock?
I think I have asked a million questions and a half on both the message boards and chat rooms, so I hope yall can still tolerate me
As I have said before, I am thinking about going to switch to carb on my daily driver. I work outta my home so I don't go as many places as most people do. (And I have my fiance's car to use also!) I was told by a buddy of mine thats gonna do some stuff to my car NOT to go carb because it would just suck to drive...especially w/the varying weather. He also said things like he wouldn't change the heads I have on the zz4 (the L98 aluminum heads) because they are awesome and if I switched, I wouldn't see much of a difference. He also said that I should get a Holley 850 w/vacuum secondaries but it will cost 400-500. I am totally confused because all of this stuff doesn't sound right! I was gonna go w/a holley 750, trick flow 23° heads edelbrock air gap intake, and...well...the jury is still out on the cam...but anyway, I want about 400-450 hp and I know I won't see that w/my stock tpi setup I have on my zz4 right now unless I wanna sell my soul. If you guys have any proven heads/cam/intake/carb setups that have made lots of power on a 350 (ie zz4) please let me know. I am itchin to run mid/low 12's! I'm stuck at 13.30 right now.
