Who has the stock Ram-air from an '83 or '84 T/A?
I was browsing the boards on ebay and came across a ram-air unit which actually takes advantage of the power bulge hood. I was wondering how common this unit was and if it actually helps (like a second snorkel). It plugs into the top of the stock aircleaner and I just thought hey, that could be cool.
Thanks in advance!

I've still got that on my '84. They were pretty common, i've seen them on a lot of 83's and 84's. I remember right after I got the car, the solenoid wasn't working/door didn't open. I tried and tried to fix the dumb thing and it turned out the vac switch and the solenoid were worn beyond use.
So I took the door out of the duct as a cheap fix, and the car actually felt a little more responsive, mostly only at higher speeds.
