I understand this is a 795cfm carb. I would like to modify it to give me a little more gas. I was told to change the metering rods out and that something needed to be ground down to allow the secondaries to open? Any help would be appreciated. I have a Performer carb, but I was told I needed to keep my Q-Jet's TPS for lockup, etc.. (I don't want to lose lockup, or have to do it manually or unreliably. I like it computer controlled.)

Check out the tech articles on this board. There's an article there about getting what you want out of your q-jet.

It will only be 795 cfm if your secondary air valves are opening up all the way. The tech article will guide you to determining that.
