Stumble at shift during full throttle

Well I got my cc qjet metering solenoid all adjusted to spec. And put a computer in that actually works...this one actually changes the solenoid dwell ,old one wouldnt. But, I still have one more problem. Taking off from a stop at full throttle. No initial hesitation, but when the auto shifts to second and again at 3d(t350) the car bogs for a sec then takes off again. Its just a quick bog same kindof feeling that you get if your accelerator pump is shot but that would happen at the initial throttle opening. This is happening with the pedal held to the floor and at about 4000 rpm.

Check for a bad electrical connection.
Ignition pick up coil. Weak fuel pump.
Is the motor stumbling or the trans hanging between shifts. EGR valve malfunction.
High or low float level. Blocked fuel tank vent or charcoal canister malfuntion.
Computer connection on carb. Loose Battery
hold down. Electrical connection under dash,
affecting inition (barred wire short) Stereo wiring. Defective alternator internal short.
Ignition module. Loose cap or rotor.

lol! Anything I shouldnt check?? Anyway this isnt electrical. Feels more like a carb bog. Just for a quick sec. Wondering if the secondarys close then re-open too fast maybe. That kindof feeling.

Check the Vacuum delay valve on the side of the carb that delays the air door opening point. A blown diaghram can cause just that.

if you've messed around with the av tension tighten it up a quarter turn or so
see if it goes away.

Once you've been at WOT for a second or two the acceperator pump and vacuu diaphragm have done their jobs and no longer have any effect. You could literally take them off the carb and it wouldn't make any difference.

You have a lean condition OR your air cleaner is restrictive. Check your fuel pressure by hooking up a gague in-line close to the carb inlet and duck tape the gague to the windshield and take a spin. Often the fuel pressure will dip just shy or redline and the bog will happen at the bottom of second gear just after the shift. ALso, having a lean set of secondary rods (like the stock CH rods) can cause this problem if you have modified the motor to any extent.

THe restrictive air cleaner thing you'll just have to trust me on- the QJet doesn't like stuffed-up air cleaners. Does weird things to high RPM performance.

Take the mechanical fuel pump off and check the return spring on the arm. If it's broken
the pump would float about that rpm.

Hmmm. Been wondering about the fuel pump actually. Sometimes if you stay in second at 3000 or above for awhile it will develope a lean surge. Not all the time though. Next time you step on it itll be fine. This is the second or third replacement pump i've put on this engine. Does anybody else have trouble with NAPA pumps? Went through 2 or 3 till I got a good one in my truck too.
