how do i adjust this carb

I have a edelbrock performer carb and as soon as i start the car it revs to 2500 rpms without giving it gas i had a holley 750 DP but the carb was too big. It is not the idle screw. What could it be?

Did you check all your vac. connections?
Also what color is your car? I live close by in Gloucester/Mt. Ephraim area.
