Return Line with Carb?
Return Line with Carb?
Hi all,
I have a return line on my Z that I plugged due to switched from CFI to Carb (650 dp Holley) I've been reading and hearing on users still having it functional, how do you do this? I've read that it keeps the fuel cooler and doesn't make the pump work so hard. Any help and/or suggestions would be great, thanks

I run this set up on my Z with a Mallory 3 port regulator.Just run a line from the bypass port on the regulator to the return line on the stock sending unit at the gas tank.I ran all new lines in braided in my car but you should be able to use stock lines i would imagine.Pump does run cooler and quieter now then before and my pressure stays rock solid at 6psi,no buildup and red lights and cruising around.

Onebad,
Thanks for the reply. What is the part number on that Regulator, that's exactly want to do. Also, what type of fuel pump are you running. I have a Holley electric now but didn't know if you were running the stock pump, also are you running a carb?
Thanks again man!!
