Fuel cell for convertible?
Has anyone ever seen a fuel cell that will fit in the trunk of a convertible? I know I may be asking for a lot here, but I am wondering if there are any around 10 gallons or so that will fit. Most of the ones that I saw on summit seem to be too wide. Those of you that own thirdgen convertibles know what I'm talking about. There isn't but about 8 or 9 inches across the bottom of the trunk. How else could one be mounted so that it is accessible. I guess one would fit in the stock fuel tank position, but how would I fill it? Any ideas appreciated

try asking at the corvette board they should have similar problems or worse I shounld say.
That is a tall order, those trunks are tiny. I don't know of any production cells that narrow except for 3-4 gallon ones.
You could probably call an industrial sheelmetal/welding/fabrication type place and have one made. One that size might be fairly cheap. Why do you need a cell for a convertable anyway? If I were you, I'd have a sump welded on to the stock tank.
