power lags when throttle is rolled on
power lags when throttle is rolled on
I have an 84 Z28, 383, afr190, slp 1 3/4 headers slp 3", comp hyd roller 224/230 1.6 pro magnum rockers, performer egr, tremec tko, and a computerized qjet
it makes great power when the throttle is snapped open, you can feel the secondaries open. When i roll the throttle on smoothly to the floor it seems as if the secondaries won't open. carb is rebuilt and rebushed. i'm running a very rich secondary rod ( code escapes me right now) to protecvt the motor until i get to the track and tune it. has anybody had this problem? The motor will not rev quickly or very high except if i nail it.

I'll have to admit, that sounds pretty odd. It's usually the other way around.
About the only thing I can think of is the choke pull-off isn't releasing. But, that should happen in the "nail it" scenario, too.

i figure when the throttle is snapped open the vacume drops suddeny and frees whatever is sticking in the pull off. i need to change it but i want to get some thing that is adjustable. just wondering if anybody has had this experience?
