do you use the stock detent cable? i tried using one and it seemed wayyyyyyyyyyyyy to tight. anyone using one of these? thanks. i dont wanna burn my tranny up.

 

Did you press the D button to relieve all the pressure on the tv cable, then readjust?

 

They make a bracket for that, i don't recall the part #. Seems like you have to get a certain linkage piece to bolt onto the throttle linkage too.

 

IHI, when ever i push the D button and then go to WOT, it pulls the cable out. thats why i was wondering if there was a longer cable i needed.

 

Have a helper sit inside the car and after you push in the D button have your friend push it to the floor, the cable will pull out quite a ways, while he still has it WOT you need to push the black stick (where the cable comes out of) with the teeth back towards the firewall until there is some tension on it. It should be hard to push it in but that's the point. once you push it back let go of the button and it's set, take her for a drive and see what happens.

 

i talked to holley today, they said that the thing is just really tight . i said ok. thanks for your replys
