Carb hesitation

Hey guys, i have an '82 Camaro Z-28 with a 350 and a Edelbrock 600 carb, i just got it a couple days ago. The guy i bought it from cut holes in the hood for air induction- i think he left it in the rain. Do you think water getting into the carb alot would cause low-power and hesistation? Thanks for the help

If it will start and run then the water is gonna work it's way out of there real fast. That isn't your problem. I don't know about cars, but on a small engine a hesitation just means there is some crap in the carb. Something got past the filter. That or it's just out of adjustment.
