carb supercharger placement

How come sometimes the carburetor is put under the supercharger, while other times it is placed on top? Is there a difference in power band or air/fuel atomization?

Under the carb 'tends' to be easier since a carb is vacuum controlled. On top the carb you have to do some mods to make it work, unless it's completely inclosed in a box.
