I need help from the TBI to carb guys....
Ok...I have recently done a 305 to 350 swap and a TBI to carb swap. Well the pump will prime and the engine will run for about 30 seconds. Then runs out of gas. I have no fuel pressure built up in the line. The guage reads 0 except when the pump is first turned on.
I crossed to wires on what i believe to be the fuel pump relay and the fuel pressure went up like i needed it to and the pump was running then it stopped...and nothing. Well vader told me to check the ECM fuse and it was blown. Replaced that and it will prime again. but wont stay on.
I have a wire running from the fusebox in a 25 amp fuse to the grey wire under the drivers side seat (hot wire for the pump supposedly) and it still wont stay running.
should i disconnect the battery, splice those two wires together that worked earlier then reattach it and see what happens? Im gonna put the wires under the seat back to normal and see what happens.
sorry for the long post but im stumped...car is ready to do except for this.

I have done the same swap, but I just put a mechanical pump in instead of using that el. fuel pump. I dont know forsure but I heard that if you use the stock el. pump you must use a regulator to regulate a much lower pressure.
Good luck
Hope this helps

I have a regulator and i got it working now. I was having problems with the fuel pump not staying on. now its fine. id get a machanical pump but my motor doesnt even have the provision for it.
