need help with intake and carb

thinking of installing an intake and a carb. what kind would be best bang for the buck with a 305 motor? any suggestions?

Why do you want to upgrade?Do you have to worry about emssions testing? If so..rebuild the stock CC Qjet carb and upgrade the intake to a Weiand Action Plus..Edelbrock Performer or any other smog legal intake.https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/quadrajet.shtml will help with the mods for the carb.Your carb is more than adequate for the 305 and even if you step up to a 350 later on.

now how good is the weiand intake. i saw one on ebayfor like 110 is it worth the money

The Weiand Action + is a good piece.

$110 is a good price for that manifold. Make sure it is the EGR version.

The stock q-jet is a good performance carb even if you don't have emissions testing.
