Tuning my Edelbrock. IMS adjustement questions.

I hear people saying all the time: " I just have the screws roughly 2 turns out and it runs good."

Here's my question: Since edelbrocks have those springs at the base of the screw, how do you know where all the way in is????

It's easy on a holley, the screws just bottom out. My IMS screws don't really seen to do much adjusting, if any. I don't get any difference in vacuum on my vac. gauge when I turn the screws, either the motor dies, or it runs at about 15.5 inches of vacuum.

So...

About how many turns out shoul I be, considering the setup on my 84"? Educated guesses would help a lot, or at least the # of turns out until I would be over rich. I know that thiis is a hard question, but just shoot me some answers like: " I run 3 turns out and this is my setup." That would help.
