I would get the calibration kit for the 600 cfm carb.
It has all the stuff to get you started.

KS auto in North Tonawanda has the little parts in stock there.

get the carter strip kit, it comes with a much larger assortment of jets, rods, etc and its cheaper than the edelbrock kit.

If you want to modify it for a few more ponies, thin down the throttle shafts, and smooth out all the casting flash especially on the boost venturi. You can even rework them a good amount if i remember correctly you can also tear drop the legs on them. Also, especially with that combo, youll want to lighten the secondary throttle valve counter weight. This is more of a tuning issue though, you just grind some off the edge a bit at a time.

I have to tell you though I think you are suffocating the engine with that carb. You really need a 750.

Really??? I thought that carb would fit good... also..i'm just trying to get the motor ready to drop in and run....I can worry about the bolt-ons later..

have to spend my money on a stall....first...

heck, i'm still using my ported performer manifold.... thats gonna go..as soon as i find a good deal...

Rob - it still will beat my 305!!

yeah i hear you man, if its just to get you onthe road that will do for now.

a Victor Jr or air gap with a 750 will really wake that combo up big time
