flooding and idling high
flooding and idling high
I'm having trouble getting my car to start after short trips ever since I had my transmission rebuilt. I don't think that the rebuild has anything to do with it, but I'm wondering if something didn't get missadjusted in the process. It is an '86 lg4. The car is idling higher than normal all the time now, and especially when I put it into park. If I let it high idle for even a couple seconds before I shut it down, I have a hell of a time restarting it. I looked to see if I could adjust the idle down, but the piece that the throttle cable attaches to isn't rotating to where it is resting on the idle screw. What wrong here?
Thanks.
Thanks.
I thought the same thing about the tv cable being the problem, but it looks like it actually is pulled when the throttle opens, so it's pulling in the direction that would help pull it back to idle, right? Also, the return spring is there.
