rough startup and high idle
I have a 84 z28 vin H and I have these problems:
- doesn't start smooth, almost like it is misfiring, and sometimes dies
- when i push the pedal down sometimes nothing happens, when im just getting going i can put the pedal to the floor and it just pumps for a few seconds until it finally throttles.
-the idle is also running high between 1000-1500 after it warms up, but thats just the problem, it takes forever for it to warm up, i have to rev the engine for the longest time to keep it from dying
I recently had a tuneup to see if that would help(replace spark plugs/wires) had oil change and basic maint.
Any suggestions? I thought it might be the choke on the carb, but if thats the case i am just going to replace it with another one. Any suggestions for a replacement, its an LG4 Overdrive Auto, any help is appreciated. Thanks

$20 man, buy a cheap gasket set and some carb cleaner and shine up that q-jet. most kits will come with a list of what all the adjustments should be set to. It'll be like a whole new engine for sure.
