Low cold idle, fast hot idle?
Okay I replaced the throttle return springs on my carb'd V6 2.8L...I haven't yet replaced the Choke thermostat coil as I have to drill out the rivits....But after I took care of the springs, I have a new issue....the car is idling from a cold start at 500 RPM's...wth? SHouldnt it be around 1500 RPM when the car is cold?
And yes I still have the high idle when the car is warm, untill I tap the accellerator pedal, though it happens less now..

You need to repair the choke thermostat. While there, make sure the choke plate and high idle cam and its linkages are intact, not binding, and installed correctly. Also, make sure that the throttle shaft moves freely, with no binding of either the shaft or throttle plates themselves.
