Acceleration issues
I have a 1983 Z28 with a 305 4bbl. Whenever I stomp on it, it gurgles and goes nowhere. It sounds VERY bad. It sounds like the secondary is struggling to get fuel and is starved. Any thoughts?

You're probably right. If the secondary air valves open too quickly, the fuel won't keep up with the air, and you'll get "bog".
The opening of the secondaries is controlled by two things: The vacuum choke pull-off, and the AV tension. If the pull-off is shot, you'll get an initial stumble. It's supposed to release slowly so the AV doesn't pop right open. The tension provides opening based on air flow. Look in the tech articles for info on how to adjust it.
The remaining issue is the calibration of the secondary rods & hanger. The stock LG4 pieces are pretty lame, consensus says use DR rods with a B hanger.
