Porting stock intake
David Wizard says in his book "How to build Chevy small blocks on a budget", that ported stock intake is as good as some decent aftermarket intake.
Does somebody know about that? Is somewhere instructions about porting stock intake?
Thanks!

Check out Vizard's "How to Build Horsepower Vol II", there is a chapter on modifying a cast iron Q-jet manifold for improved torque right from idle up to 6K.
He also shows some of the mods that Brzezinski performs on an iron Q-jet intake, these get quite involved but makes for a hot stock intake that would fool anybody looking at it installed on an engine.
