I didn't really know where to put this, and it sounds pretty odd. I had parked my car for the last couple months (way too much snow and salt out there), and the last weekend I replaced the fuel pump and hoses (existing problem before parked) before getting it out on the street again. This whole week though, I've noticed a smell of sulphur, kind of like rotten eggs while driving. Its not the area, I'm sure its my car somehow. No smoke though. My car also acted a little weird this week, it stalled twice while slowing down to a stop or turning slowly. Does anyone know what might be going on?

 

have you checked the fuel pressure since you changed the pump and lines? could be running rich or overflowing the bowls. not sure why it would smell like sulfer though.

Well usually the smell of "rotten eggs" is made by the battery while overcharging. You should check the alternator.

 

A rotten egg smell could also be the sign of a cat getting ready to go.

 

Okay the weird smell has left, and the car hasn't stalled out or otherwise ran weird since. There was also a small ticking that seemed like it was coming from under my center consol that has left. I dont know if it was a bad batch of gas or something crazy like that, but now the car's running fine.
