TBI going to convert
TBI going to convert
Hello all, I'm getting tired of sensors, bad times at the track, and chip tuning. I was just wondering if anyone here is running a carbed 350 with full 3" header back exhaust and fully tuned carb...no aftermarket head or cams. I can only run a high 14 with my combo with 3.43 posi and gears...and think I should be better. I'm converting anyway, but I was wondering how much a restriction TBI is right now...thanks.

For years, carb has meant no sensors available, inconsistent times at the track, and seat-of-the-pants tuning.
There's no particular reason TBI has to be a restriction.

Well honestly I think you're wrong about TBI...unless you want to change proms and actual forms of injection everytime you do a serious mod (head, cam, motor swap). Honestly I have spent over $500 on sensors after I changed to my 350...swapped every single one...got a chip for a 350, machined my throttle body and my car still is running bad. TBI is pretty much a two barrel carb...wouldn't that be restrictive on a 350? They only flow something like 370cfm.
any chance?
Hey 92WhiteRS, any chance you'd be interested in swapping for a nice sbc Edelbrock Carb/intake setup? I know that what I have isnt quite worth your setup, but if you're interested, maybe we could work out some sort of deal?
