Ok guys, I need pics of your throttle and tv cable set up on your holley carbs.
Im changing from TPI to carb and have the spectre throttle bracket. Seems like the stock tv cable is not long enough, and I plan on getting a carb throttle cable.
I need pics of were exhactly they hook to the carb. and what studs you guys are using.
thanks and please post pics if you can.

you need the holley kickdown cable bracket.....summit and jeg's sell them.
You can't use the spectre one, I used it for a while by adding a piece of steel in between the TV cable and the carb bracket, but you're better off buying the real deal.

I just "tweaked" the stock bracket. It took awhile, but works fine. No pics., but I can get some tomorrow. Oh, and I cut the stud off the Q-Jet and put it in the Holley (for the TV cable), and used a nut and bolt for the throttle hook-up.

Did the holley one make that much of a difference. Damn, I paid 21 bucks for the spectre one at autozone. Oh well. So you say the stock tv cable will work ok with the holley bracket right?
got any pics?

Too bad I messed up the end to the tv cable. I might be able to fix it though. Kinda broke the plastic end that slips over the stud. Maybe I can weld a washer on the end of the cable?
anyone else got any pics?

Need to get some polaroid film, but if I do I'll snag a pic or two and scan them in. I'm using the holley brand bracket, with the stock TPI throttle cable and kickdown cable. With a Mr Gasket I think it was throttle return spring setup sticking off the front...
My throttle pedal is a little stiffer than most (due to the too long throttle cable being twisted around a bit) but it's still smooth and I haven't had any problems with it.

The Demon is lacking a little notch for the holley bracket to mount. You can bend the notch up on the bracket and bolt it on, but then you may have issues with the bracket wanting to rotate on the single mounting bolt...

how did you attach the TPI thottle cable to the bracket on the carb. The TPI cable has the T on the end of it. Did you attach it to a stud or something. If so how?
thanks.
and yes post pics if you get a chance.

Damn, somebody gave me a polariod camera last week, didn't realize film was like 20 bux for barely any film, forget that. Sorry. I don't have any way to get a pic of it then.
Both my throttle and TV cable snapped right into the holley bracket mount just like the stock TPI one. The Throttle cable end was an eye loop or whatever you call it, just slipped it over the stud and cotter pinned it on. The TV cable T-post was already on my carb's linkage (3310 bought from Jegs), snapped on like it was supposed to.
My setup is nearly identical to the pic StngKlr posted up above, I didn't see that before...

well my tv cable is just like his. The one on the bottom, but the throttle cable on the top does not have a (eye) on it like that. It has a (T) on it. Thats the part I am trying to figure out. The throttle cable with the eye looks like a tbi cable?

Naw, thats the end both my 86 and 87 TPI cars have on the cable. My guess is they changed it at some point then for your 92. I was not aware of that. Not sure what to do with it in that case, you're going to have to rig it or buy another cable I guess...
So it has the same kind of end fitting as the TV cable, is that what you mean by the T end? If you can find another stud for a TV cable you should be able to bolt that into the hole instead of a regular stud for the throttle cable. Or is it something completely different?

yeah, The throttle cable is different. The cable has a T on the end of it to fit in a notch on the TPI tb. Kinda like this.
I-------------------(bracket)----------- (firewall).
It dosent have a loop on the end to fit over a stud.
I will probably just get a cable off a carbed car or just weld a washer on the end of it to fit over a stud.
