Easy CC Q Jet question
My brother has a 1984 305 Impala with a CC q-jet.He just had a rebuilt carb installed 1 month ago as the old one finally gave up the ghost. He had a shop install it againt my advice and now is junking the car as he just bought a new vehicle, the Impala is rotted and beat to death..237,000 original motor miles though. Is the cc qjet on there (rebuilt 1 month ago) the same as used on the carbed f-bodies 82-87?Or is there a difference in the cc q-jets from the '80's smog cars? What I am trying to get at is can I try and sell it on the classifieds to a fellow member and be correct in saying it will bolt on and go..or is it a whole different carb.I have no use for the carb so i would like to try and sell it for him.

I'm pretty sure it would WORK, but how well is another story. I would be willing to bet that the calibrations would be different, metering rods, float level, etc...

The number on the main body is 17088152.Some other numbers I found on various other areas of the carb include....81061S...53....48904.....1538...KAB.The carb is a 1 month old remanufactured.I can get pics also if that would help anyone.
