this is a pic of my carb and the spot were i have gas leaking from not much really small amount. is this possible to fix with a tad of silicone? or am i stuck with rebuild i mean if i use silicone it would just be a bit and when i do get a rebuil in the winter i could just take it off. what u guys think????? also could that leak effect my cars start up???

That's the accelerator pump. IF it is just a gasket-type leak, then replacing the pump diaphragm will be all that's required to fix it. If there is cracked metal, you'll either have to replace the float bowl or the pump housing (more likely the bowl). Silicone typically isn't a good idea - it gets into places it doesn't belong, and it's better to fix the problem than it is to patch it.
If it is leaking because the diaphragm is blown/torn, then it could make the engine harder to start since the pump wouldn't squirt into the carb when you're "pumping" the accelerator to start the engine.

kool so i dont have to take off the whole carb just take off that part???? could u please point on the pic were on the carb i should un screw to take off that part?? i really dont have a clue.

k been doing alot of hunting on this and i think it is the pump diaphragm, do i have to take off the whole carb to get to this? and the pic below is the thing i will need right, i dont think that one is the right on but its just and example. is it a simple unscrew take out old and put in the new (like changeing a gasket???)
