What makes the Choke light com on?
Just trying to figure out what I wired wrong but my choke light comes on and my idle drops real low(250-350rpm) then the engine dies. The problem is I converted to TBI. I assume I mixed up some wires but what can make the choke light come on?

On the third gens the Choke Light is really a Alternator Light. If it comes on your Alternator is not puting out enough. So if you are below 500 rpms it may not be puting out enough or it is about ready to die.

The Choke Light usually means engin RPMs too low. If it comes on when the RPMs are OK, then you got a bad Alt or some other electrical problem.
Take this problem to the TPI/TBI tech board, they can tell you how to fix your IAC(idle air control). Fix the idle speed problem BEFORE worring about a bad alt.
