How fast will the gas evaporate out of a Q-jet. If I let my car set for a few days I always have dry starts. I have epoxied the carb plugs. I would like to reduce the wear and tear on the starter, but I also hate to poor a little gas in the carb when I want to start it. thoughts??

The best way to eliminate dry starts, and the aggravation of popping the hood to spray some CARB cleaner to get it started..... is to go with an electric fuel pump.
The fuel usually sits in the mechanical pump when not started for awhile. The only time the fuel makes it's way back to the tank is when you take off you're gas cap, and release the pressure.
If you pump the gas pedal 10-15 times and still experience a dry start, there might be a problem in the fuel lines (not necessarily a fuel 'leak', but a pressure leak from the tank area....
