Vacuum Lines
Vacuum Lines
I just switched my stock q-jet to a holley 6210, and I'm having the hardest time figuring out where all the vacuum lines go. They aren't the same as stock on the holley. So if anyone has made the switch, please help me out.

Hi I have never done the switch before but I can tell you from experience that the best thing to do is to find out what vacuum lines run what. What I mean is look in a Chiltons to see what the old vacuum lines ran on the old carb. FInd out where those are on your new cab and rehook them up. Basically the main vacuum setups should be on the new carb, and if not you can find out which ones are. You can usually get away with eliminating some of them but not all. But in some rare cases I have found that you can eliminate them all. But I would never suggest that. The lines that don't get used you can cap off. But make sure they are sealed good. You don't want any vacuum leaks or your car will run like Crap.
