egr or non-egr lower intake for my car...?

i have a L98 engine which used to be TPI but im doing a carb swap. im going to be getting rid of the smog pump, canister and catalytic converter. do i need EGR? the egr lower intake is 200 while the non egr is like 150. would i be ok without the EGR?

You don't need the EGR. Basically all the computer does on a carbed car is emissions. But if it's an electronic Quadrajet, it will effect preformance. If you putting on a non emissions carb your golden. Without an electronic fuel delivery system, any and all your computer controlled senors and valving is non functional. I changed my electronic Quadrajet to a Holley 600cfm and made a diamond plated block off for my EGR.
