carb and intake
carb and intake
Hey everyone, been a while since i've been here, but i was trying to decide on what kind of intake and carb i should go with. Right now I have a torker II and edelbrock 600 carb and was thinking about maybe a holley 670 and a weiand stealth intake.
Heres the specs on the engine ... its a 327 with fuelie heads, very tall cam( over .500 lift), compression is either 9.0 or 9.5:1 ... just looking for a little input, thanks guys.

Forget the SA carbs. Expensive, nothing special about them. Go for a double pumper, you won't be sorry (I didn't, and was).
Stealth is a good choice. Carb will be lower than with an RPM for clearance to the hood.
Are you running at that new track south of town? Forget the name.

Hood clearance is no longer an issue lol ... once I get pictures up online I'll be able to show off my custom hoodscoop in all of its ... glory? nah ... but I have roughly 3-4" or so more than the stock hood provided. Anyone have any recommendations for a carb size, stick with 600 or go with something larger ... this isn't my daily driver(reserved title for my 91 accord POS
) So I'm trying to go with more performance, less streetabillity but still streetable. Thanks guys.
Oh yeah, I'm running it at Mid America for the 1/8th ... once i finish it up she'll be off to Scribner for the 1/4. So far the fastest I've pulled it up to is around 130-140 and it was still pulling strong so I'm hopeful that the $1150 I spent was well worth the engine. Anyone around nebraska/iowa/kansas/missouri know where the closest Dyno is at?
