Car is missing

I replaced my 305 with the 350 HO Deluxe(Holley 600 vac sec.) about 2000 miles ago. I had the carb adjusted after break in and was running fine. Now that it has gotten colder, it seems to be missing, gets quite bad at higher RPMs under load.

Being new to cars, but not scared to do the work myself, I want to fix this problem. Is there something I can adjust on the carb that could be casuing the problem(maybe increase fuel), or should I look elsewhere?

A steady miss like one or a few cylinders, or a more random/general miss?

Steady miss ain't the carb. Could be ignition, valve, something of that nature. A more random/general miss could be a fuel starvation problem, but since you say it only gets worse at higher RPMs, I'd tend to think not.

It doesn't seem very steady, but if I want to take off, then it is very noticeable. If I accelerate normally (see: grandmother) than it is fine. I was going to replace the element in my fuel filter since that is cheap, but I need a plan of action if that doesn't work.

I had to adjust my carb for the cold too. I noticed that when I take off the A/F ratio would be fine untill I get into it a little more, then it would just bog unless I floor it. What I did to fix it was stepped up the Power valve to an 85(8.5" Hg). Car runs great and has no flat spots.

Found it.... turns out it wasnt the carb at all. One of the spark plug wirse got cooked against the header. Moved it away and it ran fine. Gonna replace it next week.
