Carb Size
Alright after wading through all this crap with my car sitting around, I stand at a new point
I've run into some more money so I'm yet again to begin my project all over again.
Crate GM Goodwrench 350 in my car, auto 700 R 4 tranny.
I'm contemplating which cfm to go with, 570 or 670 with the holley street avenger.
Currently the engine is not modified other than a Mallory Unilite Ignition, and an edelbrock performer intake
But in the future header upgrades are in order
What's your opinion? 570, 670?

go with the 670 cfm carb. vac secondaries are very forgiving and it leaves room for you to grow performance wise.also it would be a great time for a cam swap before engine is in car.comp cams xe262 or maybe xe 268 would work very well in this engine.stock goodwrench 350 puts out something like 250 hp and more performance might be nice........

Wish I could put that cam in; too late though, the engine is already in the car. In fact it's been in the car since late July... lol Still isn't running.
But i'm sure i'm not the only one who knows how things like this go
Appreciate the help

Go with the 570. Its around the right size for the motor you have now. If you go with mods in the future you can always add a spacer with is comparable to puting a bigger carb on.

Those carbs are over-priced and under-performing. Spend your hard-earned coin (assuming it is earned) on a performance carb.
It took me until July of last year to see the light about VS vs. DP. I'll never spend money on a VS carb again (unless it's on a tow vehicle, or I want to slow my car down).

LOL, alright.
I think I'll just go back to what I was originally thinking, edelbrock 1406. Gets the job done for me

I have the same issue with those carbs as I do VS.
But, that's just my "opinion" again.
