crossfire to carb manifold adapter
i rebuilt my old 305 for my buddy and we just need an intake manifold. Because the 305 used to be crossfire injected, I have seen many people use a carb on that intake, I need anybody to tell me where I can find this single carb adapter plate.
thanks in advance

Are you talking about putting a carb on the worst intake manifold ever made?
ALL - *ELL NO!!! You need an aftermarket design, like an Edelbrock Performer.
and BTW, I've never seen one crossfire to carb adapter. Matt, it's has the smallest freaking runner in the universe, it would make no since in using it. You can probably hunt down a used performer intake for 40 bucks or something...

I've never seen a crossfire intake with a carb or carbs adapted to it eather.
What you saw could have been an old sbc 302 or wiend cross ram both of wich have a removable lid/top like the can'tfire injection intake had. PAW sells the wiend cross ram still and you can eather buy a dual quad top or a single 4bbl top for the base.
You would have to have a new lid custom made or you could have someone cut a hole in the middle of the stock lid and weld a carb spacer over the hole, make some block off plates to be welded or bolted over the TB holes, and then have the ports hogged out to the std sbc port size (welding the intake where / if it's needed). after that you'ld have a crude intake with alot of $$$ into it. It would be cheaper to get the wiend intake in the long run. If you do buy an aftermarket cross ram and want to run dual 4bbls go with one that has a common plenium (sp), some cross rams only alow 1 carb to feed 1 bank and the other carb to feed the other bank thease types of cross rams suck when it comes time to tune them and they don't perform as well eather.

all right thanks for the replys
I just thought I could somehow salvage the manifold, but Ill just keep an eye out for some used performer mani's.
