Will a 3" air cleaner with a non drop base fit under my 87 formula hood?

It should but might be a tight fit.

Well it does, but you have to cut out some of the underlining of the hood so the aircleaner doesnt scrape when you hit a bump.

I had one in my camaro that did that. So I went with a fiberglass hood and a big scoop. Just so you know.
