new edelbrock carb

okay, i just put an edelbrock 600cfm electric choke carb (1406) on my car. I have a couple of general questions.

My car is an 82 z28 with an 84 l69 in it.
manual tranny, non EGR.

First off, the brake booster port on the back? what do i do with this thing?

Second: There is a port on the front, a large one, not either of the vaccum ports, what do i do with this?

Last: The vaccum ports on the front, which one, if either, do i hook up, and to where?

any info will help, thanks a lot guys!!!

Back is for brake booster
Big front is for PCV
I'm using the right front for vac advance(dist. side), but I have seen both used so.......
Hope this helps
They really are good carbs, I know some people tend to rag on them a bit(because its not a holley) but I have had mine on for 3.5 yrs and never had a bit of trouble with it. Good luck to you.

thanks for the reply, but i am needing to know if i need to hook any of these things up, i know what they all do, but i have a mechanical advance distributor, so i don't know if i hook up either of the vaccum advances, i don't know if i have to hook up the pcv, or if i need to hook up the brake booster

For the front middle port, if you have a breather, I think you can plug it, but if not, run a line from the PCV valve this port.

If you have a mechanical advace dist, put plugs in both the small front holes.

If you want to run a PCV it goes in the big hole in front, if you dont run a PCV and just a breather, plug the big hole in the front.

If you are running a brake booster it goes to the back hole,if you have converted the braked to manual, just plug the hole.

Basically, if you arent using the ports just plug them and go.

I'm using all of mine except the front left small one, so its plugged.

Also, if you are running an auto, dont forget to reset your TV cable for the tranny??

Hope this helps.
