is this normal???

hey guys today i was on the highway for a couple hours total, i got 3.42 gears just to let ya no and my car moveing with pace of others will be doing just over 3k, driveing like an old man just rpms are a little below 3k. anyway long story short i pulled over to check something and when i poped my hood i noticed a good amount of steam venting from under aircleaner and a bit comeing from my air breather. anyway i took off the air filter and steam just flew out like it was trapped under there (i guess it was though ) and steam was coming out the carb but stopped soon after and all steam was gone. anyway can u guys tell me if this is normal for my holley carb to be giveing off so much steam??? i got a open element k&n airfilter with a holley chrome houseing. car was not acting strange or anything like that.

Yes it's normal.

It's not steam, it's fuel vapor.
