So I jsut installed my EdelBrock intake performer & edlebrock 600cfm carb. Should i be expecting a gain of HP?
I was running stock before (badly tuned also).

so does a edelbrock intake & 600cfm carb give me extra HP? if so, how much?

Razz, I would expect that you'll see more of an improvement in driveability with the Edelbrock carb, but you should see improved midrange torque too. I couldn't even guess at numbers, did you to a timed 0 to 60 run or 1/4 mile before & after the swap? That would tell you more.

The Edelbrock carb offers you the ability to easily adjust the jetting, step-up springs etc so you can make it right for the engine and drivetrain (and operator throttle foot).

How does the throttle response feel with the change of induction?

 

Well actualy i didn't test it yet, it is still in storage, since i'm from Montreal, there is still snow around here, (I know most of you guys are from the states here...I think). I"m somewhat fairly new at performance mods. through out the winter i installed the intake, carb and hedders with Y-pipe. I was just wondering if I'd gain enough power to notice a difference. But a faster responce time when i press on the gas is what i expect from the new carb.

 

Actually, I think the headers will give you the best power gain. The Performer intake will help over the stock, but an Edelbrock carb is no better than the stock one, IMHO.

Razz, hopefully for us, the snow will be gone soon. I work like an hour from Montreal, and will be in Dorval next week.
