Alright, I put my stock intake back so I could put my hood back on. After I got done I started the car, set the timing to 8*, let it run for a little bit and shut it off. Next time I tried to start the car it would turn over for a little bit then backfire out the carb, sometimes a huge flame would come out. I put new plugs in but they didn't help. I'm using a brand new vaccum advance distributer, holley carb, everything is new. I don't know what the problem is.

 

Any slim chance you left the distributor loose and it turned?

 

nope, its in. The motor is new, its never really ran right, ever. I was wondering if my valves could need adjusted?
