Ok I looked around in search, and couldn't find the answer I need so here goes. I already have the holley bracket for my 700R4 so thats taken care of, and my TV cable will hook up to it just fine and dandy (when I get the little stud for it).

BUT my throttle will not exactly work correctly. When the pedal is all the way OFF of the floor, the linkage sits really far forward on the throttle part of the carb. When its pressed all the way to the floor, it looks like its opening the butterfly's all the way, but might not be completely openin em.

What do I do? The bracket was said to work, the instructions said to use it, but it doesn't seem to want to fit correctly

I have a 91 RS if that helps, holley 670 street avenger (I tihnk) and an edelbrock performer RPM manifold.

I don't understand exactly what you're saying... The end of your throttle cable should be a O-loop thing that slips over a "stud thingie" and then is held on with a clip ...so, how exactly can it sit too far forward?

 

when the line is all the way in (the throttle cable) it doesn't allow the carb to open up all the way. Likewise, when the carb is closed, it sits too far forward, and doesn't sit right on where the stud would go. I had to bend my pedal a little bit, we got it in place.

The Holley bracket is junk. Go to the boneyards and grab a bracket off an early LG4 carburated car. Or buy a new one from GM ( if they're still available...).

Bending your pedal is not exactly a great way to solve a throttle problem... Where did you get the throttle cable from? Just go to a junkyard and find one off a carbed f-body and problem solved (the correct way)

 

Its still correct. There is no linkage binding or anthing and it sits in exactly the right spot it is supposed to know. Don't see a problem with it.
