I have an E4ME with a bad throttle position sensor. It is internal to the carb and I need to know if I can purchase this part from the dealer or from aftermarket parts. For that matter I would want to replace the M/C solenoid as well. Thanks!

It all comes as part of a carburator re-build kit that you can get at most auto parts stores.

Neither the mixture control solenoid nor the TPS come in a carb kit. You have to purchase them separately.
Both parts are available in the aftermnarket. I would not recommend going to the dealer for them.
If your MCS works (clicks when you turn the key on) then it's fine. Don't bother replacing it. The TPS however does go bad.
Exactly what is the problem with this carb?

Thanks for the reply. I bought a slightly used rebuilt carb to replace the one I was having problems with. The car had sat for years before I bought it and the entire fuel system was rusted. So when I got the new rebuilt carb off ebay for $40 (real cheap for a rebuilt carb) it did not have power. I found the push rod for the TPS pushed all the way in. When I took the carb apart the solenoid did not have the internal push rod. So I guess that the guy that sold it to me knew that there was a problem or whoever rebuilt it for him made a mistake. Anyway, I used the TPS from my old carb and everything is working great now after a day of adjusting and tuning. It would be nice to rebuild the old carb for a backup down the road. I don't know if this is worth it or not. Everything is fresh in my mind now but maybe I should just save the parts. The car also came with an eldebrock manifold and Holley carb which can only go on if I violate PA inspection laws or use the 5k per year exemption. PA inspection laws suck IMO.
